Mamanista Fridays: Booties !!

Well since fall is right around the corner, the ladies of The BabyShopaholic and Mamanista Files have decided to start the season's challenge with Booties!  Booties are a very essential part of a CurvieBirdie's wardrobe.  They can be dressed up/down, worn in winter/spring, or just about with anything (In my Dr. Seuss voice).

Mamanista Friday: Maxi Dress

I loves me some maxi dresses.  For one, they are very comfortable, and two, they can be dressed up or down.  I wear maxi dress almost daily to work during every season but winter!!  These dresses are and should be a staple item in all CurvieBirdie's wardrobes!!!!!

Mamanista Friday: Jean Shorts . . .or Polka Dots

Mamanista Friday challenge was for jean shorts.  I have a plent of jean shorts.  I purchased a bunch from Macy's right before I realized I was preggers.  So I haven't been able to wear them yet.  Well, i moved and cannot find not one pair of shorts!  I have searched and searched but all I could find was this polka dot rumper.  So here is my only shorts outfit I could find!

Mamanista Fridays: Graphic Tee

i am so not the Tshirt chic.  I only own a few, and I just throw them on around the house.  This weeks challenge is Graphic Tees.  So I'm digging though all my top trying to find a tee that would go well with this challenge.  Well I come across my Tshirt from Halloween 3 years ago when I was part of the group Run DMC.  That shirt is kinda hot, so I decided to try it out for this challenge.

Something to Chirp About: Just Fab

Hello CurvieBirdies!  Last weekend, Just Fab had a great online sale.  It was buy any item for $39.99 and get a 2nd item for $5!!!!!  Then, there was also a sale on flat sandles for $14.99.  So yall know me; I took advantage of this sale because I had a credit on my account.  Here is what I bought:

So, with the one credit that I had on file, I didn't have to pay anything!!!!  Nope!!  Got all three for free!!  So that makes 4 pairs that I ended up getting for free off one credit with from JustFab !!!  If ya'll remember, I went to a JustFab Party back in January and got a free pair of shoes.  Well I used it for a sale and something didn't fit, so I returned it.  With that return, I was able to get these 3 for free as well.  So I am very happy with the purchases!!! 

 

The only thing I would change is the required monthly purchase.  If you don't skip the month by the 5th, then you are still charged $39.99 and credit is added to your account.  This is one if the only shoe clubs that still do that.

Hair and Hip Hop Atlanta

Morning Ladies!!  I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Hair and Hip Hop event given by the fabulous Lexi of CurlyGirlLexi and Danielle of StyleNBeautyDoc.  It featured celebrity stylist Gabi and K.Michelle of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.  the event took place at the GlamBar which was an experience in its self!!

 

  

There were tons of ladies in the building.  We are able to ask Gabi any questions we had about our own hair care.  One thing I learned that I didn’t know was that women of color should wash their hair once every 4 to 5 days!!  I never thought we could do that. 

  

Also, Gabi talked about clip in hair pieces.  Now I had no clue these were made for women of color either.  She gave out 2 of these hair pieces.  So we learned a lot of healthy hair tips from the celebrity stylist Miss Gabi who will be relocating to the ATL area, so what out for that!!!

We also were able to talk to one of the stars of the new show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta the beautiful and talented Miss K. Michelle.  This young lady is so amazing.  I normally do not watch this show, but after meeting her I definitely will be watching this rising star.  She say a little piece of s song for us, and let me tell you ladies, baby girl can really sing!!!!  So be sure to check out Love and Hip Hop Atlanta this season!!

And of course, Fashionable Atlanta was in the building.
