I loves me some maxi dresses.  For one, they are very comfortable, and two, they can be dressed up or down.  I wear maxi dress almost daily to work during every season but winter!!  These dresses are and should be a staple item in all CurvieBirdie's wardrobes!!!!!

It’s Monday again, and I hope we all can get through it fabulously!  This weekend, I went to the Center for Black Women’s Wellness 5th Annual Family Health & Beauty Expo.  It was a tremendous event with free health screenings, products, and super hot fashion shows!!!

OOTD: Old Navy and Dots

Hello CurvieBirdies!!  I have been trying to stay on a budget lately. So I have decided to try and mix in a few older pieces with some of my newer purchases.  Ladies, I’m what you call a baller on a budget!! 

Today’s outfit is a mix from Old Navy and Dots.  Ya’ll know I loves me some Old Navy, so I decided to pair up some new jeans with an Old Navy tee.  The pants are leopard and came from Dots.  Dot’s is my go to store for funky jewelry, but this day I decided to try their clearance rack and found these cute jeans!!!

 

 

Ok, so the tee is an old Valentine tee from Old Navy.  It says “The Boys Love Me”  What can I say . . .hehehehe!!!  Leopard Skinny Jeans are Dots, and the shoes are Shoe Dazzle.

Hey CurvieBirdies!!!  I have mentioned the Spoiled Diva before, but I am going to introduce her again.  I actually see this lovely CurvieBirdie at the Style Bloggers of Color Conference.  She is still beautiful and still has some very awesome pieces.

Hair and Hip Hop Atlanta

Morning Ladies!!  I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Hair and Hip Hop event given by the fabulous Lexi of CurlyGirlLexi and Danielle of StyleNBeautyDoc.  It featured celebrity stylist Gabi and K.Michelle of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.  the event took place at the GlamBar which was an experience in its self!!

 

  

There were tons of ladies in the building.  We are able to ask Gabi any questions we had about our own hair care.  One thing I learned that I didn’t know was that women of color should wash their hair once every 4 to 5 days!!  I never thought we could do that. 

  

Also, Gabi talked about clip in hair pieces.  Now I had no clue these were made for women of color either.  She gave out 2 of these hair pieces.  So we learned a lot of healthy hair tips from the celebrity stylist Miss Gabi who will be relocating to the ATL area, so what out for that!!!

We also were able to talk to one of the stars of the new show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta the beautiful and talented Miss K. Michelle.  This young lady is so amazing.  I normally do not watch this show, but after meeting her I definitely will be watching this rising star.  She say a little piece of s song for us, and let me tell you ladies, baby girl can really sing!!!!  So be sure to check out Love and Hip Hop Atlanta this season!!

And of course, Fashionable Atlanta was in the building.

Birds of a Feather

Last week I introduced Miss Sherell, young CurvieBirdie Extraordinaire.  Well this CurvieBirdie is so fabulous that I have to bring her back again.

 

This Haitian beauty is very curve-a-lious!  She is wearing a big belted basic black skirt.  She has matched that with a see-thru 3/4 sleeve shirt with a slight puff shoulder.  She also has a red cami underneath show that she can be sexy yet classic at the same time.  Her shoes are black wedge heels.  This is a great look, and it all came from Dots !!!
