CurvieBirdie Watch; Melissa McCarthy

Well, this curvie diva is doing it again!  She will be launching her own fashion line!  I am super excited about her doing something as big as this.  One thing that I did not know about this CurvieBirdie is that she studied clothing and textiles at Southern Illinois University (Yes, I'm an Alum too!)  So she well be very vocal in this collection. 

The reason why Melissa decided to start the line is because she was turned down by 6 famous designers that refused to dress her for award shows.  So sad that designers won't step up for a challenge.  Also, she is tired of shopping and only finding frumpy items to choose from.  I know the feeling honey!  Can't wait to see what she comes up with!

CurvieBirdie Watch: Kelly and Sharon Osbourne Invades MAC

I am so excited to inform you that Kelly Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne will be making their own Mac make-up line!!  I know that they will have some awesome new bold colors!

I can just image all the beautiful purples and reds these 2 are going to come up with.  I haven't bought any Mac in a while, but I will be trying one of the Osbournes new MAC line.

CurvieBirdie Watch: Amber Riley

Hello CurvieBirdies.  So I just had to tell ya’ll the word on the streets.  So I heard that Ms. Amber Riley may be coming out with a new clothing line!!  I would be super excited if she did.  Would love to see what designs her label would come up with.

CurvieBirdie Has a New Look!!

Hello CurvieBirdies.  Since I had my baby, I decided to change up my look.  I went short hair so that my baby wouldn’t get that long hair in her eyes.  I also lost 30lbs.  I guess pregnancy agrees with me!!

 

I got this dress from Twelve24 $59 in Decatur, GA.  I wore this to my company holiday party.

It’s Birthing Day!!

Hello Curviebirdies!  I am getting ready to have my baby!  I will be going into hospital tonight to prepare for delivering her on Thursday.  So keep us in your prayers because she is coming 3 weeks early.  I will not be posting for a week or so in order to get used to motherhood.  I do welcome all tips from you ladies and gents!

Our favorite CurvieBirdie Melissa McCarthy has done it again!!  She is on the cover of fashion magazine ELLE !!!  She has done so much to breakdown the size-ism stereotypes of Hollywood. I so love this chick!!

OMG!!  Doesn’t she look so amazing.  Just super gorge!  And it looks like she has dropped some lbs in this picture as well.  Here is an insert from the magazine below.

CurvieBirdie Watch: Adele

Happy Hump day Ladies and Gents.  One of our favorite CurvieBirdies is doing big things (again!).  Adele has her own comic book!!  It is based on her life and rise to stardom.  A very interesting concept considering I have never seen a plus size gal on the cover of a comic book.  This chick is amazing!!!

Not only does this fab CurvieBirdie have her own comic book, but she is also in talks to star in a movie about the life of Dusty Springfield who was an iconic singer for Atlantic Records.

 

So be on the look out for all the amazing projects this beautiful lady has instore for us!!!

CurvieBirdie Watch: Queen Latifah

Happy Friday ladies and gents!!  So you know, this CurvieBirdie will be on bed rest fof a while.  I am sorry I been MIA this week, but I’ve been out due to pre term labor pains. 

Anyway, this week Queen Latifah’s show started.  I have watched this lady throughout her career and super love her!!!  She has had many A-list star on her show including Jaime Fox, John Travola, and the sexy Jake Gyllenhaal!!  I am sure there is so much more to come!

This is another milestone for this curvie beauty.  Make sure you check out your local listings for her time and channel in your area!!!

CurvieBirdie Watch: Kelly Osbourne

Hello ladies and gents.  Kelly Osbourne has become a very respected fashion icon recently.  She is the daughter of Rocker Ozzy Osbourne and the fabulous talk show host Sharon Osbourne.  Kelly has struggled with weight most of her life and has recently slimmed down 70lbs!

After she slimmed down, she was finally able to dress the way she wanted.  However, she states that the fits were not the best for her curves.  At that point she realized that it was time for her to create her own fashion line that includes many pieces in sizes for CurvieBirdies!!!  She said that her struggle is the struggle of all women, and she wants to do something about!

Go Kelly!!

 

 

 

She has not shown any pieces of her line yet, but I bet it will have a trendy punk-rock twist to it.  I truly can't wait to see shat she does!!

This month one of our Favorite CurvieBirdies is being covered the issue of Hapers Bazaar Issue!!! "Gabourey Sidibe among 'Bazaar' beauties!" I am so proud of Bazaar doing an issue like this one. "It's the third fashion spread by Global Fashion Director Carine Roitfeld. Karl Lagerfield did the photography.
