Hello CurvieBirdies.  I hope all is well for my fellow ATL-ians!  We had some serious weather for this region, but back to our regularly scheduled program . . .

This weekend Plus Positve will be having a Blogger Style Competion at Ashley Steward in the Cumberland Mall.  This event will be all the way live and I am so excited to see what my fellow bloggers come up with at this Battle of the Bloggers!!

Remember, I went to the Launch party this summer for Plus Positive, and I told ya'll this was a great organization.  I am so glad they are giving the curvie community a chance to showcase our talents.  So if you are in the ATL area and looking for something to do, please come out and meet me, the other bloggers, panelist, and Plus Positive reps.  I am sure it will be a blast, plus I know ya'll got cabin fever and need to get out!!!!!

Bronner Brothers Hair Show

Well Happy Monday ladies and gents.  This weekend was a ball for me.  I had the chance to go to the Bronner Brothers Hair Show with my Aunt Lynette.  I have never been to one before, and I think that I will be returning in the future.  There are so many things to see and buy at a fraction of the retail prices!!

So I found these jeans that are made just for all CurvieBirdies!!  They are sizes 4-18. But let me tell you, I love these jeans!!!  They are super comfy.  Also, they do run a it on the larger size.  I was able to fit a size 18 and I wear a 20-22 in jeans.  My beautiful aunt tried on a pair as well, and she is a regular size 6.

As you can see, she had on a size 4 I the jeans.

See!!  Cute right?  I know.  I so need these jeans in every style!

I watched a few fashion/hair shows.

I met the lovely ladies of Double Dip Glam  Squad.  These plus sized beauties were beating up so faces ya’ll.  And they are local, so I hope to use them soon!!!

And I found this lovely piece of eye candy!!  Oh Lawd!!!  Please don’t tell my Mister, but FINE cannot describe this guy!!

So I obviously had a great time. So yay Bronner Brothers!!!  So have you ever been to a Bronner Brothers event?  Would you go again?

Happy Monday Curvies!!!  I am so excited today!  I have been invited to speak at Macy’s Cultural Diversity Panel in John’s Creek, GA.  The topic for the day “Size-ism in the Workplace.”  So there will be a panel of professionals and this ex-model/Curvie blogger talking about our experiences with size-ism.  I will be posting more about what was discussed and other peoples view points later!!!

What are some of your thoughts on that subject?  Are there any questions you think I should ask on the panel?

Hello CurvieBirdies.  I have been out of town all week, so sorry for the delay in posts.  Well this weekend there will be awesome events going down in Atlanta, so I want to pass the info on to you!!

Something to Chirp About: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy Friday Ladies and Gents!!  The weekend is upon us once again.  I hope everyone has some awesome events and shopping planned for the weekend.  As for this CurvieBirdie, I will be attending a Breast Cancer Awareness Month Pink Party hosted by Studio 404.  It will be an evening of dancing, mingling, and fun.  A percentage of the proceeds from the party will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  I would love if some of you CurvieBirdies would come out as well.  Here are the details:

Good morning CurvieBirdies.  Today, I wanted to share with you my experience with the Diabetes Walk last Weekend.  I had so much fun just hanging with some of the teams.  Plus I got to meet so many new people.  Check out the fun we had!!

So the Walk was a success.  I loved being able to cover this charity event.  It is so important to me to be able to give back.

Happy Monday CurvieBirdies!!!  I hope everyone had an extremely awesome weekend, because I know I did!!!  I just love Atlanta and all the social events it has to offer.

Elizabeth Kaine Casting Call

Happy Hump Day!!! On Saturday, I was invited to the Elizabeth Kaine Casting Calling to be a judge.  There were actors, singers, models, and rappers in attendance. 

The CEO of Elizabeth Kaine is Miss Shanice.  Here she is with her sequin pants and cute shoes!!

 

There was also a make-up artist/hair stylist challenge that went on before the casting call started. Ya’ll know I loves me some make up honey!  Here are the make-up artists and their work:

As you can see, there was a lot going on!  I had a blast!!  There were a few CurvieBirdie that came down and auditioned as well. 

I did not take any pictures of the people that auditioned due to this being a casting call.

So this was a very fun day, and I hope to be able to do it again!!!!
