OOTD: Weekend Style

It’s Monday again, and I hope we all can get through it fabulously!  This weekend, I went to the Center for Black Women’s Wellness 5th Annual Family Health & Beauty Expo.  It was a tremendous event with free health screenings, products, and super hot fashion shows!!!

I will be posting pics from the fashion show later this week, but first check out my fashion show weekend style!!

Something To Chirp About: Macy’s Size-ism Talk

Hey CurvieBirdies.  Last week I told ya’ll about an event at Macys.  I was asked to speak on a panel for Macys about size-ism.  There were four people on the panel; all with different backgrounds speaking on the topic.

 

So finding what to wear to this event was a bit difficult.  I wanted to dress conservative while still showing my curviebirdie flair to it.  So here is my look!

Hello CurvieBirdies.  Hope everyone had a fab weekend.  I actually was moving all weekend, so I didn’t get to really do much else.  All my stuff is packed up, so I only had a few items to chose from when getting dressed.  Well, I pulled this look together with thrifted pieces and older pieces I already had.

Something to Chirp About: From Walmart to Fab

Hey ladies and gents.  It’s hump day, so we have almost made it!!  Well a few weeks back, I stumbled upon some cute summer dresses at Walmart.  I was like “These are cute!!  Maybe I’ll buy a couple and see how they work out.”  So I did, and I love them!!!  Who says clothes from Walmart aren’t Fabulous?

So I purchased this dress in red and white.  I have washed them both a couple times, and they are still in one piece!!  So here is how I styled the white dress!!

So I added so accessories, a denim jacket, and cute shoes.

 

 

 

Super cute right?  Ok.  So lets breakdown what this outfit costs.

I love this dress and look!  Walmart does have it going on a bit with these cute low cost summer dresses.  I love love nice clothes at great prices, and Walmart did that!!
