3rd Annual Derby Brunch and Hatwalk Review

This weekend I went to the 3rd Annual Derby Brunch and Hatwalk.  It was a morning of fabulous fashions, hats, and lovely ladies!  It was so refreshing being around positive women in a setting like that.  This event was presented by T.R.I.P.S. which is a non-profit that helps benefit urban communities across the nation.

This Curviebirdie was just too hot for TV!!!!  I so love this dress.  She said she got it from HSN.  I needs to be on HSN if they got dresses like this!!!!  She also won the Hatwalk!

Not bad for under $10 right?  I think the thing I love must about this dress is the colors!!  Bold bright colors are the way to go this season.  Do you agree?

Mother’s Day: Hats, Hats, Hats

 

Hello Ladies!!!  I went home to Chicago to spend Mother’s Day with my mother.  It was good times.  I ate all things Chicago!!!  Anyway, moving on!!!  I went to church on Sunday. and I saw the most amazing hat I have ever seen in my life!  OMG!!!  It looked like a super fabulous Yosemite Sam hat made for divas. 

 

Ya’ll cannot tell me this hat ain’t bad!!!!  It is worn by one of my most fabulous cousins Mother Rene Gray.

Mother Rene’s sister, Mother Lolene, also was wearing a fab hat.  Now ya’ll see why I have to stay fly; it runs in the family!!!

I love these hats, but I have never tried to wear one to church.  Do any of you ladies wear hats like these to church?  Do you like the hats these church mothers are wearing?
