I was reading an article on MSN, and ran across this article. It talks about 12 mistakes that people make, but there are only a few that I thought I would mention.
1. Ignoring what’s underneath
I see this all the time. I have talked about it, posted about it, but some people just don't care. I know I'm a CurvieBirdie, but you will not see any rolls under my clothes. There are tons of products on the market to avoid these types of mishaps. This also includes bad fitting bras and ugly panty lines.
2. Buying clothes that don’t fit.
Just because you can squeeze into it doesn't mean you should wear it. I never understood why someone would buy a size 14 when the size 16 fits so much better. And lets not forget when we buy clothes that won't fit until we loose that extra 10 pounds. Waste!! Buy clothes for now. When you have this type of behavior, going into the closet to get dressed will be devastating!
3. Sticking to set “outfits.”
OMG!!!! I truly can't stand this. As fashionistas, we have to step out of the box when it comes to clothing. I have a girlfriend back home that I would always say this too. She felt if she bought a pair of Guess Jeans, she had to get the matching shirt and wear her Guess shoes. I would tell her all the time that you can only wear a whole outfit a few times and that buying pieces would give her more styling options. Mix it up!!
4. Becoming a fashion victim
How many times have you heard this "You can't wear everything your friends wear." Just because something looks cute on your friend, doesn't mean that you can get the same results. Look at the picture. Enough said!
So how do you feel about these Fashion Mistakes? What would you add to the list?

A Little Birdie Told Me: Overweight States
Good afternoon CurvieBirdies! I hope everyone had an awesome holiday weekend full of family, fun, and food!!!! I was sitting back thinking as I was laying on the couch with the "itis" about overweight stats. I was wondering what parts of the country had the most overweight people. S/N: Also wondering if those states had the best cookouts this weekend!! Anyway, I wanted to take this post and drop some stats on ya'll. Do you think you know what the most overweight state is? How about the lowest percentage of overweight? Well here is something that you might find enlightening:
Yellows have the highest Obesity rates
Red has the lowest rate
http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html
So where does your state stand? Do you agree with these numbers? Do you thing there are some confounding variables that make these states be affected more than the others? Please share your thoughts!

Something to Chirp About: Overweight Myths
Good morning CurvieBirdies. I was talking to someone the other day, and she made a comment that seemed to be light-weight hating on Curvie people. So today I thought I would talk about some really stupid myths about being overweight.
Myth #1
The thinner you are the more attractive you will be.
Are you serious? This is completely false. Being attractive has more to do with who you are and how you carry yourself.
Men will tell you that a womans attitude and personality is very sexy.

Crystal Renn. Same woman. Which would you choose?
Myth #2
You cannot be both overweight and healthy.
According to Dr. Kelly Brownell, Director of the Yale Center for Eating and Weight Disorders, states, "that heavy people who are fit have lower risk than thin people who are unfit.” It’s often about the fitness, not the fatness."
Myth #3
Fat people are always unhappy being fat.
Per Dr. Phil, body image and self-image are two separate things. You can have a healthy self-image whether or not you are happy about your body image.

Does this CurvieBirdie look unhappy? I think NOT!!!!
Myth #4
Overweight women can only date overweight men.
Are you serious? This has to be the most untruth here. I know many CurvieBirdies who date men of all different sizes! I know ya'll done seen the "Opposites Attract" episode on Maury!!!! I know I have never had an issue dating men of any size!
![577533_10151043841673200_970949930_n[1] 577533_10151043841673200_970949930_n[1]](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyq9xcsOcdN9qLgtt1moGyVevJ1tv-iGFR9msk0mrdOpCtFBXmg-C4EziF3EQJF72nq3e1njyRQQNxT9abf28USUZjU4rxtZdEsbKOHhyMhkDDn7kDecElNSX-RxltukUIOJe9oQUxgRs/?imgmax=800)
Cute right? And he FINE!! So BOOM to that myth!!
Myth #5
All fat people eat too much.
This myth doesn't take two important factors into account: physical activity and metabolic resistance. So not all overweight people eat a million calories a day. It can be genetic as well!!! (Dr.Phil.com)

So I hope this helps people get rid of some of their negative attitudes about CurvieBirdies, and everyone learned something new!
So what are some myths that you have heard? Have you heard the ones that I have listed here? What are your opinions on them?
