Weekend Style

 

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!!  This weekend I had to work, but I still made time to make it to lunch with a “special” friend!!  Here is my look . . .

This outfit is so sweet and cute!

Jacket:       Torrid  $43.50

Tank:         Wal-Mart $2.00

Bracelets:  Catherine’s $3.50

Jeggings:   Dots $18.80

Shoes:        Nordstrom’s Rack $29.90

My friend was straight sweating me on our lunch date.  He kept telling me how much he liked my outfit!!!  So what do you think about the outfit?  Do you agree with these picks?

Today’s Look

The shirt is from Target for $17.24.  It is silk-like fabric.  It is navy blue with a brown braided belt. 

The scarf is from a thrift store for $1.24.

The skinny jeans are Wisdom brand from Torrid which I got for half off  at $27.00. 

The boots are from Nordstrom.  They are brown leather knee boots.  I got these at the Half Yearly sale for $70.00

So if we add up this outfit, it comes to $45.48 without shoes.  Still a great look for a great price in my book!!  So what do you think about these finds?

If it Weren’t for Old Navy, I’d be Naked Weekend

 

As I told all you CurvieBirdies, Old navy had a crazy good sale this past weekend.  All clearance was an additional 50% off for the entire weekend!!!  Honey please . . . all that did was to give me 2 days to go to as many Old Navys as I could to buy as much as I could!!  Well here are my finds . . .

 

This shirt was $8.34.  It is a sheer blouse with cute ruffles going down the front, and it comes with a cami underneath.  Love it!!

This $3.74 shirt is a mid-waist black rayon shirt.  It has a v-neck and tie waist.  I think it will look great with my skirt from Kmart!!!

This sweater was $3.22.  It is tan with different color specks woven in it.  It’s hard to tell from pic though.  But for $3.22, it doesn’t matter!!!  LOL!!!

This black jacket was $19.75.  It was a return from an online purchase, so Old Navy stores always mark online returns down 50%.  You can never have too many black jackets.

 

This dress was $4. 54.  It is very long, and I am not sure how to wear it. It has ruffles going all the way down.  It looks like it can be dressed up or down in summer.

This snake skin-like shirt is from Target.  It was $10.74 on clearance.  I thought this shirt would be cute with some black jeggings and a jacket.

Hello CurvieBirdies!!!  I wanted to give you a heads up on this weekend's sales!  Just got an email from Old Navy that they are having 50% off of their clearance!!!  Like for reals?  I am so there once I get off work today.  I will share my finds with you next week.  Happy shopping ladies!!! 

Something to Chirp About

 

Since I’ve started blogging, I have learned so much from all of you lovely CurvieBirdies.  For example, I have learned that Forever 21 and Kmart have plus-sized lines!!  I still can’t believe that.  I recently did some online shopping on www.kmart.com and these are my finds from Kmart’s Love Your Style (LYS) line . . .

This tunic is a nice neutral color.  I love this color because I can wear so many different color shoes with it.

This is a cute little Khaki colored pleated skirt.  I don’t own many skirts; especially pleated ones.  I’m a dress girl!  But for this price, we will see what happens!!!

This is a multicolored belted dress .  I think because of the style of the dress, it can be dressed up in the winter/fall with tights and a jacket.  Also it can be wear in the spring/summer with cute sandals.  Can’t go wrong here!!

Now I swear I saw a shirt just like this in Torrid this weekend for $38.50!!  Gotta love the simplicity of this shirt and the price!!  Can be wore with any color jeans and really funky heels!!!

Ok, I must admit that I first saw this dress on www.thebiggirlblog.com and fell in love with it.  This dress is unbelievably cute and easy to wear.  Can’t wait to turn heads in this little number!!!

This is a simple black belted dress.  I love these simple dresses because it’s easy to switch up the look with accessories.  I’m going to rock this dress like it’s 1999!!!

 

So all together, these items totaled out $65.42 including tax and free shipping!!  Finding these deals have be the highlight of my week!!

Fly By Buys !

 

The weekend is here, and I know I plan to shop these great sales this weekend.  I just had to share my weekend “Fly By Buys” with all my CurvieBirdies, so here goes . . .

Torrid

Torrid is having an extra 50% off clearance online in and stores.  Also, Torrid is having a buy 1, get 1 50% off sale.  Music to my ears!!  I’m going to get jeans on that sale!!!!

Torrid carries sizes 12 – 32 in most items, so everyone should be able to find their size in something fabulous!!!

 

Bath and Body Works

OMG!!  It is time for the Bath and Body Works (BBW) semi-annual sale.  If you know me personally, you’d know I’m a BBW crack-head!!  I faithfully buy up as much as I can afford at each semi sale.  I love so many scents!! I must enough to last me 6 months until the next sale.  So ladies, hit them up this weekend for all you smell-good needs!!!

 

Lane Bryant

Lane Bryant (LB) is having a great sale on under garments.  I don’t know about you CurvieBirdies, but I am always in the market for a good bra.  I don’t know why it’s so hard to find good ones.  A good bra will always give you a more slendering silhouette, and I need that especially after the holidays!!!

Also, you can never have too many panties!!  LB’s panties are made especially for CurvieBirdies, so they have a much better fit than the one bought in most department stores and discount store chains.

 

I hope these “Fly By Buys” motivate you to spoil yourselves this weekend!!!! 

Birthday Finds!!!!

 

Every year on my birthday, I always treat myself to a mani/pedi and shopping!!  This year I found some really good deals I want to share with you.

 

This shirt is from Old Navy (I know, but it’s my fav!!).  They had a sale with up to 75% off, and this shirt was 75% off!!! 

$8.24!!!  Love it!!!!

 

This Old Navy sweater was 50% off.  The front has 2 pockets, which looks like black holes in the pic.  But trust me; it’s super cute!!

This red dress came from Macy’s.  This red dress was 50% off, then another %50 off the red tag.  Gotta love Macy’s clearance!

Now I know it doesn’t seem like this dress is hot, but trust me!!  It is!  I was turning heads all night in this piece, but didn’t have my camera to take pics in it.  I will post pics of me in this dress next time I wear it coming soon.  Ya’ll curviebirdies are going to love it.  I guarantee it!!

These gorge shoes are Steve Madden.  I got this from TJ Maxx.  I don’t shop there often due to them only having 1 rack of plus sized clothing, but I took a change this day.  And praise Jesus I did cuz these bad-boys are real Cow hair! (Don’t tell PETA)
